Pirate School!

Welcome to Pirate School! A madcap one-man family show that allows kids to live out their dreams of the Golden Age of piracy. This variety show is led by the bumbling professor Billy Bones, who lives to teach youngsters the finer points of mischief. Kids become good pirates with zany lessons on how to stand, talk, and laugh like “salty-dogs.” Cannons boom, skulls talk, cutlasses drop, critters cavort and everyone, young and old, takes part in a grandiose sea-battle for their final exam.

Why Mosquitoes Buzz- Lexington Children’s Theatre

Dramatized by Jeremy Kisling, this play is based on the African folktale that begins with Nwanko and his wife out gathering palm nuts to use for their evening meal. The nuts they find are high in a tree, and Nwanko must climb the tree to try to reach them. Along comes Mosquito. When Nwanko shoos Mosquito away, the events set off a chain reaction of panic in the forest. In this African story, learn what happens when Mosquito’s loud mouth causes a great jungle catastrophe!
