I wanted to contribute to the beautiful gardens that my husband has designed on every side of our house! I was inspired by the life of the blooms and greenery that seem to be layered upon layers. I also wanted to capture the joy of a child finding a unique rock or seed pod as they spend time in the garden exploring nature.
Julie discovered her love of clay as an undergrad at Bowling Green State University. She went on to teach art at Monroe High School and continued to work in clay and teach clay classes at different art centers. Julie has taught a variety of clay classes at the Fitton Center since 2011. She recently helped to open Milk Parlor Pottery at Barn-n-Bunk Farm Market in Trenton, where she now teaches and creates her own work.
