Night photography with existing light is a challenge, so I am always looking not just for interesting subject matter in a good composition, but for situations with complementary colors, intriguing light and atmosphere that captures the viewer’s attention. Fresh off work from Pat O’Brien’s with their signature green jacket, this young man captured a New Orleans night in the Vieux Carre.
I started photography using film, but love the digital world. Self-taught, I look to peers, magazines, and online resources to keep growing. I love details, things easy to overlook but whose color, light and textures speak to us and show us where we are, home or away. My work has been shown in the Fitton Center, the City of Montgomery Ohio's annual photography show (winner 2019) and Middletown Arts Center (winner 2018, 2019.)
