Call to Artists

ABOUT THIS REGIONAL JURIED EXHIBITION

This 2026 FotoFocus Biennial exhibition, supported by FotoFocus, will be displayed in the Fitton Center for Creative Arts galleries in Fall 2026.

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is excited to be one of numerous regional participating venues in the 2026 FotoFocus Biennial. Its theme, "The Long View," encourages artists and audiences to think about both distance and time through imagery and the use of lens-based process.

The Fitton Center responds to this theme in the regional juried exhibition Milestones: Finding Our Way, an opportunity for adult artists living within 150 miles of Hamilton, Ohio who work in lens-based media.

The Fitton Center anticipates selecting 10 to 20 artists to present thought-provoking works addressing the concept of "milestone" while utilizing a range of approaches to lens-based artmaking.

Selected artists and/or studios will be asked to provide a series (three to ten artworks) and/or a substantial single piece such as video, projected image or installation art for display. Quantities will be dependent on scale of finished work and curatorial decisions.

Selected artists/studio collectives will receive a minimum $250 project honorarium and will have the opportunity to engage with the community during multiple gallery events.

There is no fee to submit a proposal.

Proposal requirements: completed online entry form and upload of 10 sample artwork jpegs, image list, theme statement up to 150 words, install specs up to 150 words, CV.
