Q: Can I become a member at the time of registration?

A: Yes, please visit fittoncenter.org/become-a-member for more information about membership pricing and benefits.

Q: Who is permitted to audition?

A: Children ages 6-10 are encouraged to audition for this production.

Q: Can I wait at the Fitton Center?

A: Yes. While parents and guardians are not permitted in the rehearsal room, there will be a waiting area with drinks and wi-fi available for your use during rehearsal times.

Q: How long is the performance?

A: The performance itself is 30 minutes in length. Audiences can expect the show to start at 7pm for evening shows or 2pm for matinees.

Q: Why are the rehearsal and tech times different?

A: Rehearsals are for getting the student artists prepared to perform the show onstage. Tech rehearsals are designed to prepare the student artists for additional elements such as costuming, lights, and mics. These rehearsals run 1-1.5 hours to include getting in and out of costume and additional learning elements. Please review the schedule for detailed arrival and departure times. All student artists are expected to be at rehearsals and performances for the duration of the times listed.

Q: My child has no experience, can they still participate?

A: Absolutely! The Fitton Stage Academy is a creative arts program designed to introduce student artists to the elements of performing. Participants can expect to be guided through performance, technical, and backstage roles, responsibilities, and etiquette. Whether the student artist has performance experience or not, the program ensures that each participant is fully immersed in all aspects of a theatrical production in a supportive and inclusive space. The learning component is a crucial part of the programming and we welcome and support participants from all experience levels.
