Affordable, local entertainment

Hamilton, OH – As ticket prices – and ticket fees – continue skyrocketing around the country, for the third consecutive year, the Fitton Center for Creative Arts held its ticket prices steady.

“We’re committed to keeping our programming affordable and accessible,” said Executive Director Ian MacKenzie-Thurley. “The prices we set in the summer of 2025 remain the same through the end of our season in the spring of 2027.

“We want the entire community to have access to that special alchemy that only happens at a live show. When performers and audiences come together in a single space, no two shows, no two audiences, no two experiences are exactly the same. We want everyone to have those experiences in their hometown without having to break the bank.”

A recent Forbes article said ticket prices for concert tours jumped by 50 percent over the five-year period from 2019 to 2024. Forbes predicted an additional seven-percent annual increase (compounded, of course) for the foreseeable future.

At time when many face financial challenges, the Fitton Center offers an average ticket price of just $46 for both its Fitton ShowStoppers and Jazz & Cabaret adult contemporary series. Each show includes two acts featuring local and regional performers, as well as national and international touring artists live on stage.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and sponsors, the Fitton Family Fridays series offers patrons of all ages an even more affordable opportunity to experience live, family-orientated theater - plus a kid-friendly buffet before the show - all for a top-end price of $11. (Even less for Fitton Center members and series subscribers.)

Ticket and service charges are capped at $3 per ticket, which helps cover our credit card service fees and third-party ticketing system.

The Fitton Family Theater stands only eight rows deep, so there’s not a bad seat; every performance is intimate. Parking is free (and plentiful) both at the Fitton Center and in neighboring lots. Concessions and bar prices are reasonable. Guests can be home in time for the late news, even if they stop for dessert or a nightcap on the way.

Fitton ShowStoppers launches Saturday, October 17, as Genesis ReTouched Presents: Genesis: Evolution. From the prog-rock roots to the stadium anthems and every incarnation in between – including solo and side projects by Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and Mike & the Mechanics – fans can “Turn it On Again” with their favorties across multiple eras and styles in a brand-new show created specifically for the Fitton Center.
