Hamilton (OH) – New Year, new approach.
The Fitton Center for Creative Arts today announced a new date and schedule for its annual season launch party.
“We’re always looking forward,” said Ian MacKenzie-Thurley, Executive Director. “With that in mind, we invite the community to take a look at Saturday, August 17, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Block It Off. We’ll be hosting a Community Block Party for our 2024-2025 Season Launch.
“Hamilton continues to grow and change and offer more to the city, county and region. The Fitton Center has been a part of driving that success, but we have to grow and change with the community we serve. We embrace the opportunity to stake out and showcase our corner of downtown with this signature event that welcomes everyone and encourages people to embrace the arts.”
Aside from moving Season Launch from a Friday evening to a Saturday afternoon, the Community Block Party adds an extra hour for people to enjoy the celebration. The event also expands its footprint to better showcase the Fitton Center’s Monument Avenue frontage.
What won't change is the price. Community Block Party remains a completely free event with live music and other performances, sensational artwork on display inside and out, hands-on creative opportunities and more. Guests can stop by for a few minutes or make a day of it. While they’re here, they can book all their tickets for what is shaping up to be an amazing 2024-2025 season of top-notch entertainment.
