Blues go 'boom'

Hamilton, OH - Expect indictments.

Just Strange Brothers and guitarist Noah Wotherspoon are indiscriminate killers.

They laid waste to the Fitton Center stage and left an enraptured audience for dead in their wake after Blues Explosion, a tsunami - or was it a blues-nami? - of a 2024-2025 season finale Saturday, May 17.

Yes, as a matter of fact. It was powerful enough to change weather systems and create entire new words to describe them.

And no, we're not even slightly sorry to mix metaphors of murder and meteorology.

From the moment they plugged in for sound check to the final bow as the crowd clamored for an encore, "explosion" was the operative word, because JSB and Wotherspoon blew the house away with their spectacular set.

We'll be dropping some bombs of our own soon enough.

Stay tuned for the 2025-2026 season announcement. Until then, though, enjoy some photos from Blues Explosion in the gallery below.
