Hamilton, OH – Guests at the Fitton Center’s 2026-2027 Season Launch: An Evening of Wonder won’t go hungry.

Fitton Center catering partner Two Women in a Kitchen sees to that during the annual event running 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 14.

They serve up a variety of grab-and-go treats for the evening, including:- - Individual charcuterie boxes ($8): assorted meats, cheeses, olives and nuts - Made-to-order poke bowls ($12): select a base of either fresh green salad, white rice or brown rice; pick a protein - seasoned grilled chicken breast, fire-seared steak or grilled shrimp; sauces and toppings include spicy mayo, poke sauce, wasabi mayo, peanut sauce, coconut cream, sweet chili oil, kewpie mayo, warm vegetarian, chicken or beef broth, avocado, sesame seeds, mango, sweet potatoes, ginger, seaweed, radish, cabbage, tomatoes, edamame, roasted corn, mushrooms, carrots, red cabbage, green onion, picked onion. - Kids snack ($5): creamy peanut butter and jelly on pound cake with fresh fruit - Desserts: homemade chocolate chip cookies (2/$1); homemade cupcakes ($3)

“Guests to our Fitton Family Fridays series and Celebrating Self luncheons during the season already know how good Two Women in a Kitchen are,” said Fitton Center Marketing Manager Mark Motz. “These special walk-around menu items they create for Season Launch are perfect for an open house.

“People can take their snacks all over the building or stake out a seat and enjoy the sights and sounds of a great party all around them. Either way, they get some incredibly well-crafted food.”

Season Launch celebrates all the shows, exhibitions, classes, workshops and events on tap for 2026-202. Highlights for the evening include a live performance by Butler County natives, The Wonderlands, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the Riverview Terrace, just across from where Two Women in a Kitchen set up.

In addition, Season Launch features the gallery-opening celebration for the acclaimed The Soul of Black Folks: 250 Years of Creativity, Innovation and Leadership exhibition curated by Carolyn Mazloomi of West Chester. Quilts created by the national Women of Color Quilters Network are on view in the Monument, Riverview Bever West and Bever North Galleries. About 20 of the exhibiting artists plan to be on hand for the opening.

Guests can see teaching artists at work with hands-on art demonstrations in our studio classrooms and create three different make-and-take artworks themselves – a paint-your-own ceramic lava lamp tile, a pull-your-own “Evening of Wonder” screen print and a collaborative mini-bead pet.

And of course, the box office will be open for guests to purchase show tickets, register for classes and workshops or buy annual Fitton Center memberships (which are on sale for 20 percent off the entire month of August).

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is located at 101 S. Monument Avenue on the Riverfront in downtown Hamilton, Ohio.
