1. Now I See You
This self portrait was taken in my living room when I saw the evening sun creep in through the cracked kitchen door. Aperture: 3.6, Shutter 1/125, ISO 320, Focal length: 32.9mm. Shot on a FujiFilm XT3 18-55mm f/2.8-4.
2. Where He Met Me
This image was taken in the backseat of my roommate's car when it started raining. She was driving, and I was snapping photographs. As soon as I took this image I whispered under my breath, "I think this is the greatest photograph I have ever taken." Aperture: 2.8, Shutter 1/125, ISO 3200
Both: This image was taken on a Fujifilm XT3 and edited within Adobe Bridge and Photoshop., My photography practice consists of me always having my camera nearby ready to create an image the moment the opportunity presents itself
1. A Glimpse...And Sparks Fly
24"h x 36"w
2. Lavish Grace
20"h x 20"w
Both: Acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, I paint the hyperchromatic imagery I see inside my head during chronic migraines. An abstract expressionist, with a spontaneous and personal mark-making, I translate my experience into layered works rich in color, texture, and movement. Through a meditative process, my works explore dualities of pain/beauty, conscious/unconscious states, spontaneity/deliberate placement, translucency/opacity, and contemplation/assertion.
