Morgan James to play Fitton Center

Hamilton, Ohio – The Fitton Center for Creative Arts made a change in its Fitton Showstoppers series.

Due to circumstances beyond its control, Fitton Center Executive Director Ian MacKenzie-Thurley announced today that the Saturday, November 16, production of I Didn’t Recognize You With your Clothes On – starring Nick Cearley of the Skivvies - will not occur.

However, he said An Evening With Morgan James will play in its place on that same Saturday, November 16, show date.

"We’re grateful to Nick for connecting us with Morgan James,” Mackenzie-Thurley said. “She is an amazing talent and an outstanding performer, and we’re excited to have her performing here in Hamilton.”

Morgan James is a Juilliard-trained Broadway veteran of popular musicals like Godspell and The Addams Family. She has performed with symphonies around the world, including the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. She has piled up video views into the hundreds of millions as a both solo artist and while singing with Postmodern Jukebox.

Her performance in the 241-seat Fitton Family Theater will be an intimate, elegant evening of music accompanied by guitarist Doug Wamble.

Tickets cost $39 for Fitton Center members and $48 for non-members; they are available online right here, by phone at 513-863-8873 ext. 110 or in person at the Fitton Center Box Office.

“This is an amazing opportunity to see a world-class entertainer up close and personal,” MacKenzie-Thurley said. “She’s touring the country this fall in support of her new album – Nobody’s Fool – and we’re glad we had had a date that worked with her schedule. This will be a special night.”

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is located at 101 S. Monument Avenue on the Riverfront in downtown Hamilton, Ohio.
