Hamilton, OH - The Fitton Center for Creative Arts opened the 2024-2025 Fitton Family Fridays series on Friday, September 13 without a hint of bad luck.
Quite the opposite, in fact.
Lexington Children's Theatre performed a delightful musical adaptation of Winnie the Pooh to a sold-out house. The show served as a homecoming for the title character played by Hamilton High School graduate Noah Warner. (Noah planned to show the cast around town a bit Saturday morning before getting on the road again.)
Families enjoyed Kids Opening Night festivities, including a faux bee hive and a real bear displayed by event sponsor MetroParks of Butler County.
The Lane Library had different Pooh books to browse, let kids color Pooh-themed bookmarks and had a bee-toss game, all while signing people up for their library cards.
Two Women in a Kitchen served up tasty tacos (and other treats) in the ballroom, and many guests stopped by the photo booth to show off their finery on the red carpet.
Fitton Family Fridays continue Friday, October 4, when River City Puppets return with a new adaptation of The Hungry, Hungry Bookworm. Tickets ($8* for Fitton Center members, $10* for non-members) available online here, by phone at 513-863-8873, ext. 110 on in person at the Fitton Center box office.
