Hamilton (OH) - As deadlines for the Spring 2024 education session approach, the Fitton Center reminds the community savings are still available for classes and workshops.
Students need to register by February 19 to get an early-bird discount. Likewise, scholarship applications are due February 16 to be considered for a NO-COST art education experience at the Fitton Center.
A wide array of classes and workshops - all taught by professional artists and educators - awaits, giving students many opportunities and avenues to explore and exercise their creativity.Â
Several classes are already sold out - two sections of Creative Aging Painting, Kids' Drawing & Painting, Evening Wheel Throwing Basics and Functional Pottery - with many others getting close.
After the success of Sewing Basics, we're happy to introduce Intermediate Sewing to continue building your skills. Shrink Earrings creates fun, wearable keepsakes, while Letterpress with LEGO® puts a new spin on a traditional artform.
Maybe you're looking for ways to incorporate technology into your art. Check out our Adult and Teen Digital Art classes.Â
We have several spring-specific options with Ceramic Bud Vases, Ceramic Birdhouse and Garden Mosaic Stepping Stones. With Easter on the horizon, what about trying Pysyanka, the Ukranian egg decorating technique?   Â
Or maybe consider old favorites like Yoga (online or in person), Pottery (youth, pre-teen and teen, plus afternoon wheel throwing basics and intermediate classes), Mosaics (wearable, micro, The Joy of Breaking Glass, Creative Aging), Drawing (anime, portraits with pizzaz, youth studio) Painting (Creative Aging, watercolor basics) and Printmaking.Â
We've switched registration platforms, so signing up may look a little different than you're used to seeing. Please watch this video tutorial to get an overview of the platform and to set up your account.Â
As always, we're grateful for your patronage and look forward to seeing you at the Fitton Center soon.
