Spy girls

Hamilton, OH - The arts launch careers.

Erin Dietrick had never seen so much as a James Bond movie when she applied for a job at the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C.

When asked during an interview who her favorite spy was, Dietrick drew a blank until remembering a production of Hamilton she saw the week before.

She answered Hercules Mulligan. And got the job. The Twinsburg, Ohio, native now serves as Programs & Podcast Assistant, where she co-produces the popular SpyCast podcast. She appeared at the Fitton Center Wednesday, October 2, as the featured speaker to talk about the spy game as it relates to the Hamilton One City One Book selection "A Woman of No Importance."

Dietrick not only discussed the subject of the book - American World War II spy Virgina Hall - and several of her espionage contemporaries, she also announced a new Hall exhibit opening at the museum later this year.

In case you missed it, check out the entire program on TvHamilton. Be sure to join us back in the ballroom Wednesday, November 6, when Celebrating Self returns with Charley Harper Studios. You can get tickets online right here.

Until then, enjoy some photos from yesterday's luncheon in the gallery below.
