It may be the middle of summer with the 4th of July right around the corner. But right around the next corner is the start of the Fitton Center's Summer II Education session.
We kick off our newest set of six-week courses on Monday, July 7, with more classes rolling out the rest of the week. All ages, from kindergarten to senior citizen. All disciplines, from drawing and painting to pottery, from fabric art to mosaics, from yoga to printmaking. We've got classes here at the Fitton Center and in our satellite studio - Fitton at the Foundry - in Liberty Center.
Have a young artist ages 7-12 who may have missed a summer camp? We've turned the popular Meowsterpiece Makers Camp into a Monday evening mixed-media class. Sculpt clay cats, design and build a cat tree, make furry cat masks and more.
Youth Drawing Studio for ages 10-14 is ideal for youngsters who may have taken an intro course and want to expand their skills on Wednesday evenings.
Want your middle or high schooler to have some productive screen time this summer? Sign them up for Teen Digital Illustration on Tuesday evenings.
Acrylic Painting Basics for ages 18 and up meets Monday nights. Learn color theory, mixing strategies, and composition - to say nothing of material maintenance - while producing a larger painting to sharpen your skills.
Always been curious about how to bring a mosaic to life? Check out Mosaic Fundations for ages 15 and up on Thursday afternoons. (The 1:30 start time and Fitton at the Foundry location is a perfect for some parent-child bonding. Have lunch before class or a snack afterward in one of Liberty Center's many food spots.)
Our professional artist/educators offer top-notch instruction to help you master the techniques you'll need to bring your imagination to life in every media. Take a look at the Summer Education Brochure for the entire course selection and registration information.
Have questions? We're here to help. Give us a call at 513-863-8873, ext. 110. We look forward to creating with you very soon.
