Time to dance

Hamilton, OH - The Fitton Center is gearing up for its annual FREE Season Launch event - An Evening of Wonder - and inviting the community to join in a unique opportunity to be part of the fun.

At 6 p.m. Monday, July 27*, we're recording a promotional video for the event at the Fitton Center. Our headline band - The Wonderlands - gave us permission to use their song "Love Like This" as the soundtrack. Their breezy, infectious tune includes the lyric, "feels like dancin' in the summertime," so our friends from Next Generation Dance created a routine everyone can perform. You don't have to be a great dancer. You don't have to be a dancer at all. No age requirements or need for previous experience.

Just be willing to move a little bit with your friends. Think of it as a flash mob without the singing or the surprise. ALL are welcome..

We'll gather in the Monument Gallery on the first floor as a staging area before we head outside to teach the routine and record the video.

We'll provide the audio playback and our choreographer (along with several NGD dancers strategically sprinkled through the crowd) will be here to teach the combination and guide us through a few rehearsals before TvHamilton records a few live takes. The whole thing should take an hour or less.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.  

Wear casual summer clothes - preferably solid colors with no logos or slogans - and comfortable footwear. Then dance like nobody's watching. Because with any luck, EVERYONE will be watching when we drop the video and get people dancing into the 2026-2027 Fitton Center season.
