Hamilton, OH - The Fitton Center opened its Jazz & Cabaret series Saturday, October 25, with Giant Steps: The Music of John Coltrane.

Nearly 150 guests packed the Carruthers Signature Ballroom to see and hear the Christopher Andrews Quintet pay homage to the saxophone legend, whose influential work included the album Giant Steps, chosen for inclusion in the National Record Registry.
Andrews and his sizzling-hot band played more than just the record that defined an entire genre. They played tone poems, some of Trane's work with Miles Davis and even jazzed-up versions of showtunes from Guys & Dolls and The Sound of Music.
The Jazz & Cabaret series takes the stage again in February - Valentine's Day to be precise - when The Hot Magnolias return for a Mardi Gras Party! Tickets are available online right here, by phone at 513-863-8873, ext. 110 or in person at the Fitton Center box office.
