Juuuuust right
Hamilton, OH - Fitton Family Fridays rock on a regular show night.
But when The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati sends its TCT on Tour production of Goldilocks Rocks! on the road - with a slammin' soundtrack by local punk band Trauma, Illinois - turn the amps up to 11 and prepare for a wild ride.
The familiar fairytale of Goldilocks and the three bears transformed into a one-woman retelling, with some help from audience members pitching in to play Goldi's band. The whole house clapped and sang along by the end of the show With a modern twist on the old story, lively music and a high-energy performance by Ellie Malatesta in the title role, Goldilocks really does rock! (And in the Q&A after the show, some astute audience members remembered Ellie from her turn as Henny Penny last season.)
Fitton Family Fridays don't just rock in the theater. Two Women in a Kitchen served up a porridge bar, honey-bear toast and bears in a blanket - as well as all kinds of cookies and cupcakes covered in graham-cracker bears - for guests to enjoy before the show.
Event Sponsor MetroParks of Butler County brought a real bear skin - and a bear skull, complete with intact teeth - for kids to touch, too.
