Opening Night

Updated: Feb 20

(Hamilton, OH) - More than 400 people came in the Fitton Center doors for an evening of art and music.

On February 17, the Double Take exhibition celebrated its official opening in the Monument, Riverview and Bever Galleries on the first and second floors.

Ben Montague's photographs, Mayuko Ono Gray's drawings and Peter Scheidt's sculptures demand a second look as they connect cultures, magnify worlds, and disrupt everyday forms.

Concurrently, the Women's Art Club of Hamilton opened its second-annual dual-venue exhibition, Pieces of Me, in the Community Gallery. More than 60 members of the club displayed their art in a variety of media.

Double Take remains on view through April 6, while Pieces of Me runs through March 22 at the Fitton Center and Strauss Gallery.

Most guests stayed to be entertained by the magnificent Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Poptet; many who didn't, migrated a few blocks over to the Strauss Gallery on High Street for the other half of the Pieces of Me exhibition. Enjoy some photos from the galleries below.
