Hamilton, Ohio – When it rains, it pours.
On the heels of the announcement that the Fitton Center will host the 2026 Ohio Arts Professionals Network conference, comes word it will host the 2026 Great Miami Riverway Summit as well.

“This is another exciting opportunity for us to show off the Fitton Center and Hamilton beyond Butler County,” said Fitton Center Executive Director Ian MacKenzie-Thurley. “We know – and are glad to promote – how much the river is a huge attraction and asset in our area.
“We are perfectly suited to host a summit of this kind, with facilities large enough to accommodate the entire cohort for a keynote address, as well as several suitable breakout spaces for smaller groups. We’re right on the banks of the Great Miami and we had the Miami Conservancy District as part of our 2024-2025 season programming. This is a great fit.”
The Summit is scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026. While the event is still in the planning stages in terms of speakers and sessions, rest assured the event will showcase the river – and the city – in a great light.
According to greatmiamiriverway.com, “The Great Miami Riverway is more than just a river. This regional destination in southwest Ohio includes more than 99 miles of paved trails and connected communities where you can surf the river, cycle the bike trail and find your way through charming downtowns.
“The goal of the Great Miami Riverway program is to develop and implement ongoing marketing, planning, and programming to increase use of recreational, historical, and cultural assets; attract more visitors; support economic development; and strengthen river corridor neighborhoods.”
In addition to events at the Fitton Center – which include opportunities for guests to have hands-on art creation experiences - the Summit also features activities and tours in the City of Hamilton.
The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is located at 101 S. Monument Avenue on the Riverfront in downtown Hamilton, Ohio.
