Moroccan Mosaic Bracelets

Age: 12+

Instructor: Lori Kay Farr

$35/members, $45/non-members

 

Winter: Thursday, February 18th | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Learn to create beautiful wearable art using colorful micro-sized Moroccan ceramic tiles. Leather banding serves as the bracelet base for your tile design (metal bases are also available for a non-leather option.) Many beautiful patterns can be created. Custom-design your perfect accessory to match any outfit!

Winter: Thursday, February 11th | 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Design an original mosaic on the bottom foot of a wine glass using a variety of colorful glass tiles. Choose between leaving your project to be grouted by the instructor or taking home a finishing kit that includes supplies and instructions for how to complete the design at home. All supplies, two drinks, snacks, and choice of finishing kit or grout service are included.

Wearable Mosaics

Age: 13+

Winter: Thursday, January 21st | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Learn how to create a mini-mosaic pendant, bracelet, or keychain. Cut stained glass and tiles to shape into a one-of-a-kind wearable mosaic. While all supplies are included, students may bring their own tiny beads or tiles to incorporate. One mosaic base is included with the cost of the class.

Winter Session – February 4th | 6:30 p.m.—8:30 p.m.

 

Theme: Explore how 19th Century artist Marc Chagall captured the dreamy qualities of love through painting.

Create unique art while enjoying wine and snacks. Knowledgeable instructors blend individualized hands-on painting instruction with art history and technique lessons, while also creating a wonderful social and educational experience that encourages creativity. All supplies, two drinks, snacks, and pre-prepared canvases are included in the cost of the workshop. Students will be asked to select their choice of inspirational paintings at registration.

Pysanka: Ukrainian Egg Dyeing

Winter Session: Saturday, March 13th | 10:00am - 1:00pm

Pysanka, which means "to write," is a traditional Ukrainian folk-art form that uses a wax-resist method of dyeing eggs. In this workshop, you will learn about the symbolism of traditional pysanky eggs, and create your own patterns. Use styluses to melt beeswax and draw designs on hollow goose eggs. Dip the eggs into a wide range of dyes to create endless patterns. At the end of the project, watch the wax melt away to reveal your designs!
