Hamilton, Ohio – We’ve finally caught our breath a little bit after an amazing run at Operation Pumpkin.
Here’s a look at just a few of the numbers from a Fitton Center perspective:
5,000 – Number of temporary tattoos custom designed, drawn and laser cut in house – not bought at the Dollar Store - to decorate…

3,500 – Number of miniature pumpkins we distributed, most of which went on to be decorated in the Kids Zone and sent racing down our Pumpkin Derby track.
3,000+ - Number of guests who stopped by the Fitton Center booth, including a festival-record 1,200+ people on Saturday.
2,625 – Weight, in pounds, of the miniature pumpkins distributed.

2,518 – Weight, in pounds, of the winning single-largest pumpkin at this year’s festival (a state record).
539.6 – Estimated number of hours guests spent decorating mini pumpkins.
400 – Number of hand-made ribbons created in house to award Pumpkin Derby winners.
194.4 –Average number of mini pumpkins distributed hourly during run of the festival. Which means guests rotated through the decorating tables almost 6.5 times per hour, for an average decorating visit of about 9:15 per pumpkin.
120 – Number of feet, in length, for the Fitton Center footprint in the Kids Zone, including a track, a “garage” for the pumpkin racers, decorating stations, pumpkin storage and shaded rest area.

117 – Number of volunteer hours contributed by Fort Hamilton District Boys Scouts operating the Pumpkin Derby.
65 – Number of additional volunteer hours contributed by Fitton Center board members, community groups and regular volunteers to assist guests in creating their pumpkin magic.
40 – Number of feet, in length, of the custom-built Pumpkin Derby race track
26.5 – Combined number of miles pumpkin racers traveled down the track, which is three tenths of a mile longer than a standard marathon.
18 - Number of hours the Fitton Center operated its booth, running 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
7-9 – Average number, in seconds, for each heat of the Pumpkin Derby races.
5 – Number of work tables – each with six chairs - in the Fitton Center tent where guests could decorate a miniature pumpkin.
3 – Number of days in the festival. All bright-blue skies, sunshine and warmth.

2 – Number of industrial-strength, battery-powered hot-glue guns in constant use to affix, hats, sunglasses, ears and other accoutrements to the mini pumpkins.
1 – Amazing weekend.
