Triple play

Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Fitton Center was a study in threes.

First, the galleries. A trio of shows drew more than 300 visitors to the 2022 FotoFocus Biennial Exhibition opening celebration.

Kent Krugh curated The Land/Unusual Character, an examination of portraiture in the first-floor Monument Gallery and unique landscape images on the second floor.

Michael Wilson rounded out the triptych with Acknowledge Reveal Disclose, curating regional photographers' portrait work.

Next, the theater, where exhibiting artists Caludia Kunin, Catherine Aboumrad and Susan Patrice gave an artists' talk about their work.

Finally - after a quick changeover from lecture hall to a big-city musical stage - back to the theater for the Empire Trio and Bravissimo Broadway.

The touring musicians and singers authored a love letter to show tunes and left the audience amazed in Act II by David Shenton's acumen composing on the fly while simultaneously playing piano and violin.

Three cheers for the arts.

Take a look at some of the photos below.
