Pottery Studio

I hope everyone had a good holiday season! It's great to see everyone back in the studio. Just as we are getting back to it; I wanted to make you all aware that I am going to be out of town 1/15-1/24.

Noah is going to cover Studio+ for the next two Friday's and Haruko will be firing kilns while I am out. If you need anything, you can always reach out to Kate, our Director of Education and Outreach. kate@fittoncenter.org

We will have Studio+ this Friday, but the hours are shifting due to the building closing early for the staff Holiday Party. The studio will be open from 11am-2:45pm.

Hello Fitton Potters!

The weather outside might be frightful tomorrow- so I wanted to hop on here and let you know our plan for Studio+!

We're constantly monitoring the weather, and if we need to close and cancel Studio+ hours, we'll make the decision by 10am tomorrow morning.

In the event we won’t be holding studio hours, you can find an update here and on our social media platforms.

If you don't hear from us, it's all systems go for Friday!

The building will be closed on Friday July 4th, so Studio+ will be cancelled. I hope you all stay cool and enjoy the holiday 🎆

The Summer II session will start next week on Monday July 7th, and Studio+ will resume normal hours next week.

We are finally getting caught up on firing. Just a note, we are having another kiln issue. So, if you are missing any bisque items, they are still in the kiln and will be out by next Friday.

Reminder: Studio+ is running from 1-4:30pm next week June 20th. After that, we will resume the 12-4:30pm hours.

Good news:

Studio+ will be open in the month of June. BUT we will have different hours on June 13th and 20th.

We are open 1-4:30pm on 6/13 and 6/20. We will resume normal hours of 12-4:30pm on 6/27.

Will there be open studio on all the fridays in June?

Hello Potters!

This is a reminder that the building will be closed 4/18 in observation of Good Friday. Therefore, Studio+ will be cancelled.

Also, just a heads up that there has been a lot of firing in the last week or so. I unloaded 3 kilns today and loaded and fired two more. So, this coming Tuesday there will be a lot of pottery ready for pick up

We are gearing up for the first summer session to start 4/21!

I am doing my best to get caught up on firing 😅 All three kilns are firing again today and will be unloaded on Tuesday. There's still some instructor work waiting to get in, but most everything else is in.

There are no classes next week (except Functional Pottery's make-up class). Just a reminder that Studio+ will continue on Friday's throughout the break. However, the building is closed on April 18th in observance of Good Friday.
